Hi!
My
name is Kels. I have a BS in Human Development from the lovely Brigham
Young University. A bachelor's in Human Development is basically useless
unless you go to grad school (which hopefully I will do) so, no
one wants to hire me. I am married to a wonderful geek, B, who loves doing anything with his computer/phone/xboxes, while finishing up his BS in Information
Systems (that something computery for those of you, who like me, had no
idea).
Here is my update schedule:
Mommy Monday: I
may not be a mommy (yet) but, a good portion of my degree was focused
on child/infant development. I have also nannied/babysat for 8+ years
so, I have a lot of experience with kids. Mommy Mondays will sometimes
just be fun activities you can do with your kids and other times it will
be empirical research on child development.
Treat Tuesday: My husband and I love food. Seriously, it's great. We love to try new recipes and new combinations. We plan all our meals in advance and I'll share our meal plans, grocery lists, and recipes!
(Better than takeout orange chicken, made by me and my friend L)
Whatever Wednesday: So, this is my blog and sometimes I don't want to be constrained by my own dictates so, I gave myself a day to post whatever I want. I'll post movie reviews, whats going on in my life, travel posts, tips and tricks I've learned for cleaning, ecetera ecetera ecetera (note: this should be read in the voice of the King from King and I).
(Visiting Moscow, RU during the Blini festival - heck yes you can travel on a budget)
Thursdays are my day off.

Fashion Friday: I love looking cute and trying new outfits. I have a lovely closet with only three things over $30 (my two winter jackets and my black pumps). However, I still get complemented on my clothes and feel great in them. My current fashion project is doing Project 333.
(free belt, $9 dress, $8 sweater, $6 tights, and my $50
Sacred Sundays: On Sundays, I will share my thoughts and ideas on spiritual subjects. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and it is one of the most important things in my life. I may share a new piano/vocal piece I've found and performed or a Family Home Evening or Relief Society lesson plan. If you have any questions feel free to ask!
We
were blessed two days after our wedding with our first little furbaby,
Wheatley. And yes, he is named after the Portal (a video game)
character. He's a little Portuguese Podengo mix and we ADORE him.

Sewing Saturdays: DIY
DAY! What is a life without some great DIYs? Nothing! (okay, not
nothing but, I love DIYs) . Fashion DIYs, Decor DIYs, and tips on how
to do things yourself (how to pack your house, how to pack a carry on
(hey, I've moved 20+ times in my life, I have a little experience), ect.
Not all of it will be sewing but, I had an alliteration trend going and
I decided I simply needed to keep it.Sacred Sundays: On Sundays, I will share my thoughts and ideas on spiritual subjects. I hope you're excited to see my blog,
xoxo,
Kels
